1 Hour Ride:
Visit
an area of Bryce Canyon viewed only by this horseback ride. Our 1 hour
ride departs from Ruby’s Inn and follows a 3 ½ mile loop through the
Dixie National Forest to the beautiful rim of Bryce Canyon National
Park. From the rim you will view the hidden Water Canyon Amphitheatre,
then back along the stream of Hidden Falls.
1 ½ to 2 Hour Ride:
If
you’re looking for a longer and more scenic tour of the Bryce Canyon
area, our 1 ½ to 2 hour ride takes in the Dixie National Forest and
the rim of Water Canyon Amphitheatre, the first canyon in the National
Park. Leaving the rim, you climb Bristlecone Pine Ridge with standing
1500 year old Bristlecone Pines. (One of the oldest living things on
the North American Continent.) From this ridge you will also see Boat
Mesa and Sinking Ship Peak, some of the higher points in Fairyland Amphitheatre.
This is a 4 ½ mile loop.
Half Day: Henderson Peak. Departs 8:30 a.m. About 3 ½ hours of riding.
Henderson Peak is the north boundary of Bryce Canyon
National Park. This ride can be tailored to your riding ability and
travels through beautiful meadows and along unique mountain trails.
The only way you can view the north end of Bryce is to take this ride.
Yes, there are hoodoos! This area is rarely visited and as a result
you'll enjoy untouched beauty at every turn. We depart Ruby’s Inn at
8:30 a.m. It’s only ten minutes to the trailhead.
All Day or Overnight:
Mount Dutton. Departs 8:30 a.m. About seven hours of riding.
Mount
Dutton trailhead is 15 miles north of Bryce Canyon. This ride is for
the wildlife enthusiast. We ride through many different landscapes from
black rock formations, lakes and streams, and lush forest. You will
usually see elk, deer, bald eagles, and an occasional bear or mountain
lion. At the summit, (approx. 9,500 feet) the panorama is spectacular.
Powell Point. Departs 8:30 a.m. About eight hours of riding.
Powell
Point is the highest timbered plateau in North America. We also ride
through many different landscapes to a south-facing summit with elevations
around 10,000 feet. If you are limited on time and would like to see
the whole area in one day this is the ride for you. This plateau is
the focal point of our area. Here at Bryce Canyon we say the sun sets
on the east. You’ll see what we mean after a day on Powell Point.
Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument. Departs 8:30 a.m. About 8 hours of
riding.
This trip rides east of Bryce Canyon National Park beginning at the Sheep Creek
tributary of the Paria River. You will view pictographs hundreds of years old.
Ride through the colorful narrows of Willis Creek. Stop at the grave of Elijah
Everette, a Calvary man killed by Indians. We travel about 16 miles through
water, beautiful beaver tail cactus, and wild flowers.

"Not only did we
have a wonderful time, but our guide was exceptional. The horses
were fresh and obviously well taken care of. We live in New York
State but Utah seems to be a popular destination for many people
we know. I have and will continue to highly recommend your company
to people that are heading in your direction. Thank you for making
my first time in Utah such a memorable experience!"

"I want to thank you for a great
time. Our two wranglers were great with my five year old son.
They had his horse on a lead rope until he was comfortable.
They were very good with him, talking and joking with him. The
two were very knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Our
entire family enjoyed the experience very much."
